District Institute of Education & Training (DIET) Beerwah (Budgam) has released the date sheet for the Summative Assessment for Classes 3rd to 7th for the Academic Session 2023-24. This assessment applies to both Government Schools and Government Recognised Private Schools in the district.

Urdu/Hindi: The examination for English will take place on March 9, 2024 (Saturday), followed by Kashmiri/Panjabi on March 12, 2024 (Tuesday), Mathematics on March 13, 2024 (Wednesday), and Environmental Studies (EVS) on March 16, 2024 (Saturday).
English: For Classes 6th and 7th, assessments will be conducted in Urdu/Hindi, English, Kashmiri/Panjabi, Mathematics, Social Science, and Science. The Science assessment is scheduled for March 18, 2024 (Monday), and Social Science on March 20, 2024 (Wednesday) at 11:00 AM.
Candidates are required to appear for the Summative Assessment in their respective schools. The Heads of Complex Centres will ensure that the conduct and evaluation of assessments are done simultaneously for the timely declaration of results/report cards.
This will enable timely remedial interventions for potential learners by the concerned schools.
The Heads of Complex Centres will also ensure a Parent-Teacher meeting, especially with the parents of potential learners, to apprise them of their wards’ learning levels.
Zonal Education Officers will monitor the conduction of Summative Assessment in their respective zones, with overall monitoring overseen by the Principal DIET and the Chief Education Officer Budgam.
In case of examination date clashes with Board Examinations in schools where Examination centres are located, the Summative Assessment of the above classes shall take place on the same day in an alternative session.
Results up to class 7th will be authenticated/confirmed by Complex Heads, as per notification No: DIET/BB/CMDE/24/6438-43 dated February 20, 2024, signed by Principal DIET Beerwah (Budgam), Tanveer Ahmad Mir.
Copies of the announcement have been sent to various educational authorities, including the Director SCERT J&K, Director School Education Kashmir, Joint Director SCERT Divisional Office Kashmir, Chief Education Officer Budgam, Complex Heads, and Zonal Education Officers for information and necessary action.
